Original, physical driver's license that matches your passport + Original, physical International Driving Permit (IDP) (1949 convention)
The IDP is a international travel document, regulated by the United Nations, which allows you to drive in a foreign country. This country/region recognises only the 1949 IDP format, as it is a signatory or party to the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic. Your IDP should be issued by the country/region that matches your driving license, and have the phrase "Convention On International Road Traffic" with "1949". IDPs issued under the following conventions are not accepted: Paris Convention (1926), Washington Convention (1943), Vienna Convention (1968). For questions about applying for an IDP, please reach out to the equivalent of the traffic management department in your country. After your application is approved, you'll get a paper version of the IDP that's typically valid for a year. Please bring it with you. Please also note that (a) a translated version of your license does not replace the IDP, and (b) you'll need a bus license if you intend to drive a vehicle with more than 10 seats.
